Reflection: Wiki, Blog and Video

Sazia says: 'Laila's wiki and blog is really good and pretty and her organization is very good. Her navigation is easy and she has all the tasks.The only thing I would tell her to change is the color of her letters to make it look more attractive. Her video is tells me about herself and what she likes to do and what she's like. To improve she could add more pictures of herself'

 I agree with Sazia on what I can improve on my wiki, blog and video. I think she is right about the things I should improve but I could also improve on my design for my wikispaces because I think it's too plain

I've picked design 2 for my wiki  because I think design 1 is a little too plain and boring but task three is too dark and it will be hard to see. I think the best design is design 2 because the background color is not too light or too dark, it's the perfect color. I think I worked well with the improvements my classmates told me to do

Html VS Dreamweaver

I think DreamWeaver is much better than Html because on dreamweaver you can actually see what you are doing, it already has ready set commands, it's easier to use because on Html, if you make one alphabetical mistake, it doesnt work. In html you have to learn all the commands but dreamweaver is almost like paint. You can actually see what you're doing. And those big commands on Html are done with a push of a button on Dreamweaver.

Reflection: Since I couldn't put my DreamWeaver webpageon my blog, i put a screenshot , I had to just reflect on it. I think I did a fantastic job on my dreamweaver page. I applied my knowledge of it on the dreamweaver, I improved a lot from last year. I explored more and did more than I was supposed to. I think I could improve  by decorating it more

What Is A Digital Portfolio?
a)     What are the three important features of a digital portfolio?
Goal driven and show the life and the work of the owner
Allow parents and teachers to see the work of student
Can compare the work of the student over time to see the improvement

b)    List one advantage and one disadvantage of a digital portfolio

Advantage
Disadvantage
Students can demonstrate proof of their technical skills while also displaying their ability to apply technology in the creation of multimedia presentations, software programs.
Be aware of the possibility of plagiarism as it may be easier to use your information as it is already in a digital format and easily copied and pasted or saved onto another person’s computer

c)     Find a student digital portfolio that you like, hyperlink the URL and describe the strengths and weaknesses of this portfolio

Its Strengths is that it is attractive, colorful and neat. But its weaknesses are that it has too many words on the same page and hard navigation due to no titles and subtitles

Reflection: i think this was not one of my best works. i was falling behind at this point so i was rushing really quickly to try and catch up. i think i could improve on my work by putting more detail in my explanations.

I think the website design is very dull, it’s only black and white, it’s not attractive and everything is just listed with no pictures. The layout needs to improve

The items and links are very easy to be found, even though the organization is very dull and plain, it makes it easier to locate the items. Example: the headings are big and easy to be seen

Other than the design, I think it’s organized very well and items are very easy to find

It’s normal, the colours are attractive the text is easy to be seen and it has pictures, but it’s not great.

The navigation is not very easy but not too hard and it’s very well organized

Reflection: I think i did really well on this task, because i did all i was supposed to do, detailed my work and made it neat and tidy. although i could improve my work by putting even more detail in my answers and justifying my reasons
